FACILITIES
Completed in January 2009, the Kansas Rowing Boathouse is located along the Kansas River in Burcham Park, Lawrence. The 14,000-square-foot facility, dedicated in February 2009, is designed to withstand flooding and can store up to 65 boats.
The boathouse serves both the Kansas women’s rowing team and the Kansas Crew Club, featuring team and public locker rooms, a full kitchen, a 2,000-square-foot team room, and a second-level outdoor deck. Construction was largely funded by a student-approved activities fee, and drone use is prohibited at KU Rowing events.
